Yesterday I finished the hat my grandma asked for when she came over on christmas. It's a light teal and pretty warm! This lady will wear anything though...she's usually wearing a crazy fluorescent yellow hat! I'm sure she'll like it =)

Now I'm working on one for my dad's friend who's training to become a state police officer (got to butter up to the Man now... XD). I was digging through my stash and through all the pink, purple and fun fur I finally found a manly color. It's navy blue, I'm unsure what's it is made of but it's soft and warm enough for upstate (that's where he is now) hopefully.

Quizes

Hehe I found fun quizes to take...
You Are 91% Creative

You are an incredibly creative person. For you, there are no bounds or limits to your creativity.
Your next creation could be something very great... Or at least very cool!
How Creative Are You?
You Are a Witch (or Warlock)

You are deviously brilliant and a perfect manipulator.
You somehow always end up getting what you want - without anyone knowing you're working behind the scenes.
Crafty and cunning, you can work your way out of any jam.
And it's easy for you to get people to do what you want, whether you're working for good or evil.

Your greatest power: Mind control

Your greatest weakness: Making people your puppets

You play well with: Ghosts
What Kind of Monster Are You?
You Are a Peanut Butter Jelly Bean

You get along well with all sorts of flavors - and people. You may feel ordinary at times, but you're still loved by (almost) all.

You Are The Godfather Ice Cream

Someone crosses you, and they'll end up with a scoop of this in their bed

I'll get through it thinking about all the neat stuff I'll see a couple of hours after! Well 3 hours away.. ample knitting time =)
I think I'll be wearing this if it's not too hot (I would have my hair down)

Projects

I have decided to post what I'm working on even though I can't take pictures of them. I'm making a purse for my cousin for christmas..actually everything I'm knitting from now on is going to be a gift for someone I think. I think I'll make myself a list so I know what I should do after I finished something.
Mom- socks (they are probably going to be my first pair) probably going to make them with Knitpicks Dancing
Dad- love to make him a hat... maybe put FB on it (for Fat Boy, one of his motorcycles)
Tristan- mittens. I wonder if I can make powerranger mittens...he just has to make up his mind about which color he wants to be!
Lilly- getting a pink purse made out of Vanna's choice. I'm going to line it, make a few flowers to put on it and maybe a cell phone holder... in the process of knitting it.
Sarah- Harry Potter bookmark scarf and a skully keychain or wrist band.
Rita- slippers size?
Joan- slippers maybe...she has big feet like me although her's are a 10..maybe fingerless gloves or a scarf since peoplelike those.
Susen- slippers...I think she's an 8. These gotta be pink, she adores that color.
Cathy- NOT TELLING.
Elizabeth- kiwi bird
Grandma- potholders/dishcloths. Make them thick.
Kelly- fun fur scarf =D or black dog
Tiffany- fingerless mitts or gloves. Hmm what color...
Kayla- Something green.
and other people I forgot to name and will just make this list longer.... eeek

Haven't updated in awhile mainly because I can't get my hands on a camara =/
Anyway, I've been making fingerless gloves like crazy. This patten is very addicting and my friends seem to love it! Once I showed them the burgundy pair I made myself, they all wanted one! I made a blue pair, grey, navy and now a purple pair. I've memorized the pattern and can knit them up quite quick but the next time I do a wrist warmer/fingerless glove pattern, it's going to be for myself! *giggle*

Pretty things

Yay! I made this bag.

I used homespun and had plenty of yarn left over. It has a zipper and a liner =D
I'm very proud of it. I used a cabled headband pattern for the strap using size six needles-it's very secure. I can't seem to find the site where I got the pattern from, I will edit this post if I find it.
I also made my own needles, I stained them and hotglued little maple leaves on the ends. They're size 10 1/2.

Long time no post

Okay, so it's only been a few days since I last posted, but I thought I give an update. I should have some more pictures of my FO's tomorrow. It's been so hot here I've just been reading all day. I'm working on a pair of slippers for my mom's birthday. It's on august 8...I want to make her a few things because she's so great :D I think I'm going to make her a little bunny too..or a kitty. Whatever I chose, she'll love it because she's nice like that *loves*

My kitties!

I'm a cat person.

That is Walnut. He's one year old. He's my baby and he gets in loads of trouble but I still love him. He likes to eat my chocolate doughnuts. See he knows what's healthy for me and those deep fried heart attack waiting to happen treats are not. Good kitty.

That's Hazel, short for Hazelnut (you think I have a thing for nuts? nah, I like to name my cats after food). She's five years old. Hazel loathes me, seriously. I get the death stare whenever I'm around. You can't pick her up or else she'll scratch away at your living flesh. She may look innocent but looks are deceiving and in this case, they definitely are.

Horseshoe lace bag

I love doing lace work so much. I'm a yarn over type of girl. I found a truely lovely pattern here and decided to give it a go.
This is the result:

I used the same brand of yarn that I used for my pink lace headband. It knits up quite fast.

Little red bag

This bag is was made using stockinette stitch. I just made a really long piece, folded it over (allowed room for a flap where it could be closed with a button) and seamed the sides. The handle is an i-cord.

I put a liner in it too.
Now I just need a little black dress to wear this with.

Cabled Headband

Another headband!

The yarn was something from lion brand...wool-ease I think. This one is beyond awesome, kudos to the creator!

Flower field

These are neat flowers, I just adore putting them in my hair and handbags. The green one is made from an i-cord and the other two are just a couple of rows long in garter. Make a long piece of knitted fabric and fold it length wise making 5 petals. Take a sewing needle and thread it through the petals. Add a cute button in the center to hide the seams. You can use the tail yarn to tie your flower to something or put a pin on the back. The possibilities are endless.

Lace headband

I made this headband using a sort of bulky wool blend yarn. It's my favorite one, I wear it all the time although it's a tad too warm for summer...
The pattern is from here.
It worked wonderfully, a clear pattern to follow.

The things that I knit

This is my first ever completed knitting project . I made it some months ago.

It's a dress and shawl I "accidentally" made for my Build-a-bear cow Tulip. I think she sports it rather well. Did I mention that I like cows? well that's a understatement, I LOVE them =) The name of this blog can explain that. I collect all sorts of cow things--stuffed toys, figurines, cups, magnets...the list goes on.

This blog has that new car smell

Hello, welcome to my blog. I started this to keep track of my projects. Hopefully I'll keep on blogging =)
