Long time no post

Okay, so it's only been a few days since I last posted, but I thought I give an update. I should have some more pictures of my FO's tomorrow. It's been so hot here I've just been reading all day. I'm working on a pair of slippers for my mom's birthday. It's on august 8...I want to make her a few things because she's so great :D I think I'm going to make her a little bunny too..or a kitty. Whatever I chose, she'll love it because she's nice like that *loves*

My kitties!

I'm a cat person.

That is Walnut. He's one year old. He's my baby and he gets in loads of trouble but I still love him. He likes to eat my chocolate doughnuts. See he knows what's healthy for me and those deep fried heart attack waiting to happen treats are not. Good kitty.

That's Hazel, short for Hazelnut (you think I have a thing for nuts? nah, I like to name my cats after food). She's five years old. Hazel loathes me, seriously. I get the death stare whenever I'm around. You can't pick her up or else she'll scratch away at your living flesh. She may look innocent but looks are deceiving and in this case, they definitely are.

Horseshoe lace bag

I love doing lace work so much. I'm a yarn over type of girl. I found a truely lovely pattern here and decided to give it a go.
This is the result:

I used the same brand of yarn that I used for my pink lace headband. It knits up quite fast.

Little red bag

This bag is was made using stockinette stitch. I just made a really long piece, folded it over (allowed room for a flap where it could be closed with a button) and seamed the sides. The handle is an i-cord.

I put a liner in it too.
Now I just need a little black dress to wear this with.

Cabled Headband

Another headband!

The yarn was something from lion brand...wool-ease I think. This one is beyond awesome, kudos to the creator!

Flower field

These are neat flowers, I just adore putting them in my hair and handbags. The green one is made from an i-cord and the other two are just a couple of rows long in garter. Make a long piece of knitted fabric and fold it length wise making 5 petals. Take a sewing needle and thread it through the petals. Add a cute button in the center to hide the seams. You can use the tail yarn to tie your flower to something or put a pin on the back. The possibilities are endless.

Lace headband

I made this headband using a sort of bulky wool blend yarn. It's my favorite one, I wear it all the time although it's a tad too warm for summer...
The pattern is from here.
It worked wonderfully, a clear pattern to follow.

The things that I knit

This is my first ever completed knitting project . I made it some months ago.

It's a dress and shawl I "accidentally" made for my Build-a-bear cow Tulip. I think she sports it rather well. Did I mention that I like cows? well that's a understatement, I LOVE them =) The name of this blog can explain that. I collect all sorts of cow things--stuffed toys, figurines, cups, magnets...the list goes on.

This blog has that new car smell

Hello, welcome to my blog. I started this to keep track of my projects. Hopefully I'll keep on blogging =)
